Bio

Susan Larson brings a creative spark and a love of technology to any client engagement. With a background in web and brand consulting, new technology product development, and a career that spans about half on the marketing services side and the other half on the manufacturer’s side, she has a keen interest in helping to develop your message or product and making it great.

Before starting Neon Lily in 2001, Susan was in charge of new product development and market analysis for a major electronics manufacturer, covering an array of categories including: emerging solar and wireless markets; and new consumer product launches for digital products, computers, and home appliances. Her passion for the customer experience led her to positions in web consulting and brand consulting, before launching her own practice.

Susan’s background also includes several years with a major ad agency, during which she produced special events including concerts and sporting events on behalf of corporate clients. So whether it’s writing ad copy or press releases, or developing ideas for the future of solar technology, she enjoys the process of creating better results. Susan holds a B.A. in English from St. Olaf College and grew up in Tokyo, Japan, where she attended The American School in Japan (ASIJ). She loves sushi, skiing, and Shakespeare.

Belief

Connecting people with technology requires balance. It’s the Zen of connecting what is human and organic (represented by lily), and what is high tech (represented by neon). Neon Lily is about finding and creating that balance.

Neon is also a naturally occurring element, and the same may be true about the best of technology. It should appear to be organic and natural and supportive. Also fun.
